In an odd mix of social classes, two miners fall in love with a talented dancer who specializes in Latin formats like the paso doble. Blazej Antal (Ladislav Jezek) and Roman both become love-struck when they first see Iris (Rena Neudorflova) at a party for the workers. While the two men vie for her favors, Iris' mother feels that neither would be a very good match for her daughter. In fact, Mom has someone else in mind who might be able to further Iris' career. Eventually, Blazej captures Iris' heart but there is no certainty that their romance can withstand their inherent differences.
