A top-secret experiment on an abandoned oil rig leave environmentalists and oil workers forming an unlikely alliance in the name of survival in filmmaker Andrew Prendergast's sophomore thriller. Entrusted with the duty of testing an experimental cleaning solution that could revolutionize the oil industry, Dr. Christine Hansen joins Jacob Rasmussen and a crew of deconstruction engineers on an abandoned oil rig in a remote area of the North Sea. Shortly after a member of the engineering team goes missing under suspicious circumstances, a radical environmentalist and his sidekick complicate matters by taking the rig hostage. As the group slowly begins to realize they are being stalked by a deadly alien life-form, mortal enemies must work together to ensure that they make it out of the doomed vessel alive.
