Synopsis
The issues that arise from interfaith marriage are explored via the story of the Welbel family, whose matriarch Leah, a Holocaust survivor, hasn't spoken to her grandson Danny in years because of his marriage to a non-Jew. When her granddaughter Cheryl also marries a gentile, Leah skips the silent treatment in hopes of convincing Cheryl's husband to convert. Pressure mounts on Leah and Danny to reconcile, however, when Danny's wife becomes pregnant with Leah's first great-grandson.
