Synopsis by Erin Demers
This documentary profiles Canadian Ambassador Ken Taylor's role in saving six diplomatic personnel who escaped the siege of the US Embassy in Tehran during the Iranian Revolution of 1979. Through the words of key players of the operation, including the hostages themselves, the events of that crisis are laid out as Canada stepped up with an ingenious plan to bring those hostages home to America with the help of the CIA. Those events were eventually fictionalized in the Oscar-winning movie Argo.
