Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
This surreal Dutch drama bears resemblance to David Lynch's "Twin Peaks" as it examines the reaction of a small fundamentalist Christian town that suddenly discovers it contains a kiddie-porn ring in its midst. The film was assembled from a three-part TV series. Oude Tongen is a very conservative little town. It is deeply religious and no prostitutes or beer halls can be found within the city limits. The normally quiet townsfolk get nervous after a chicken coop is broken into and all the birds are discovered with broken necks.
