As mounted, performed and shot in January 2008, this stage production from the Teatro Comunale di Bologna presents an interpretation of Christoph Willibald Gluck's 1762 opera Orphée & Eurydice, based on the 1774 production by the Académie Royale de Paris. It stars Roberto Alagna as Orphée, Serena Gamberoni as Eurydice, and Marc Barrard as Le Guide. The Teatro Comunale di Bologna Orchestra and Choir lend musical accompaniment, with Giampaolo Bisanti serving as conductor and Paolo Vero as choral master.
