synopsis
The French/Venezuelan Orianne stars Deniela Silverio as Marie, a woman haunted by unpleasant but cloudy memories. Upon the death of her reclusive aunt, Marie inherits the ancestral home. Wandering through the decaying hallways, Marie conjures up images of a incestuous incident in her past and begins to remember why her aunt shut herself away. At times, the viewer will probably be as confused and disoriented as the protagonist, thanks to the hallucinatory camerawork of Jean-Claude Larrieu. Barely released in the U.S., Oriane was the winner of a Cannes Festival "Camera d'Or" award.
