Chinese-Canadian filmmaker Paul Wong presents this experimental documentary, shot on Hi-8 video, which observes the people and culture of China in the late '80s, in the years prior to the Tiananmen Square massacre. Culled from over 40 hours of videotape, Ordinary Shadows, Chinese Shade premiered in Canada and enjoyed many museum screenings for years to come.
