Also-ran silent screen cowboy Pete Morrison battles a rival for the affection of pretty Betty Goodwin in this obscure Western produced by the equally obscure Lariat Productions. There is a villain, of course, who doesn't take kindly to Miss Goodwin's final choice: the stalwart Morrison. In retaliation, the brute persuades the girl to ride one of the wildest stallions around. She does so and has to be rescued by Morrison. There is a lynching, but Pete saves the poor condemned man by a single shot severing the rope. Writer Victor Roberts did not test any limits in this or the other Morrison Westerns produced by Lariat, a minor company organized by poverty row regular Harry S. Webb to promote the Colorado-born cowboy as a viable screen star. The company released its product on the Vitagraph program.
