Synopsis by Janiss Garza

A down-on-her-luck Mabel Normand signed up with comic producer Hal Roach to make eight shorts and eight features. She only completed five short films before illness caused her to bow out of the contract. This comedy, in which funmakers James Finlayson and Noah Young also appeared, was her last for the studio. It was released in March 1927. Normand plays a bride whose husband (Creighton Hale, another star who had seen better days) is snatched away one hour after the ceremony is completed. He is sent overseas to France, and Mabel is determined to join him. She tracks him down by disguising herself as a soldier ("Mabel, in her makeup with a heavy black mustache, looks like 'Ole Bill in The Better 'Ole," Moving Picture World noted). The only problem is that when she finds him, he doesn't recognize her at first. The two of them eventually win furloughs because of their heroics and they use the opportunity to enjoy a honeymoon.
