While visiting Lily, her father Phil gets into a minor car accident and ends up having to recover on her living room couch for a few days. This time together ends up being the last moments the family shares with Phil, as he suffers a severe stroke later in the week. The family, along with Lily's mother, must make the painful decision to turn off Phil's life-support system and say goodbye.
