Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Former serial star Charles Hutchison went behind the camera to direct his real-life wife, Edith Thornton, in this little romantic melodrama. Edith played Mary Forrest, a reckless socialite arrested for speeding by Detective Reilly (Wilfred Lucas). Brought before stern Judge Winter (Joseph Kilgour), she vows to repent. Repentance, however, takes a back seat to new revelries and Mary wrecks her car attempting to escape a raid on a roadhouse. Judge Winter sentences the girl to a year in the slammer but offers to put her on probation if anyone will accept responsibility for her conduct. None of Mary's society friends volunteer but the judge's handsome son, Bruce (Robert Ellis), proposes a life sentence as his wife. A 1935 release of the same title, also directed by Hutchison, bore no resemblance to the original.
