Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Edison's On Dangerous Paths was one of several Viola Dana vehicles directed by the actress' talented (and today unjustifiably forgotten) husband John Collins. Dana plays Eleanor, a minister's daughter who comes to New York to visit her older sister, a successful businesswoman. Eleanor manages to get a job as a nurse in a major metropolitan hospital. One night, she is called upon to look after a drunken tourist, who turns out to be her hometown sweetheart Roger (Pat O'Malley). Upset that Eleanor is sweet on her boss, a handsome doctor, Roger picks up a good-time girl and heads to a fashionable roadhouse, where Eleanor and the doctor are also dining. After "talking it over" with the doc, Roger manages to stage a reconciliation with Eleanor. Despite its cautionary title, this 4-reeler was essentially a romantic comedy.
