Synopsis
Tolerance of gender differences is the theme of this animated "docuperformance" based on Tomie dePaola's children's book "Oliver Button Is a Sissy." The program also includes performances by the Twin Cities Gay Men's Chorus of a musical based on "Sissy"; a reading of "Sissy" by Massachusetts teacher Mary Cowhey to her first-grade class; tolerance exercises for children; and interviews with Anne Bancroft, makeup artist Kevyn Aucoin and choreographer Bill T.
