Synopsis by Perry Seibert
Izza Genini's Nuba of Gold Light documents the history of nuba, a style of music that dates back over 500 years. The program explains how these very structured compositions are played by musical groups made up of people who comprise a cross-section of humanity. The film also details how there used to be twenty-four of these compositions, but thirteen of them have been lost over time.
