synopsis
In this tragic romance, set in Bruges in the 1880s, the wife of a wealthy young man has died. He meets a woman who looks remarkably like her and begins to see her, even though she is a rather poor woman who earns her living by singing. Sadly, she dies, too. This simple tale was very popular at the time of its release.
