The series, which first aired in 1971, is enjoying renewed popularity. Created by Barbara Atlas and Doug Momary, it encourages children to become more compassionate, more self-confident, and more constructive. In this episode, kids team up with Freddie the Frog, Henrietta Hippo, Charlie the Owl, Doug, and Emmy Jo for a day full of new challenges and a lesson in self-confidence. Recommended for children age three to nine, The New Zoo Revue received a four-star rating from the National PTA Review Board.
