Prolific Nikkatsu studio director Koyu Ohara reunited tortured Naomi Tani and torturer Hirokazu Inoue from the previous year's superior Ori No Naka No Yosei for this more modern, but less interesting, tale of sadomasochistic sexuality. Tani plays the heir to a yakuza empire who is kidnapped and tortured by spurned lover Hitoshi Takagi and his new boss, rival gangster Inoue. As in most of screenwriter Oniroku Dan's work, S & M has a transforming effect on people, and Tani starts to enjoy being dominated, giving up her empire to stay with her new masters. Nami Aoki co-stars. As odd as it may seem, Ohara was steeped in the far more cheerful Momojiri Musume series at the same time as some of his more violent torture films.
