A spinster and a gay teen enter into an unlikely friendship that's threatened by an emerging romance in this affectionate comedy from director Nathan Adloff. Nate is a 19-year-old film student determined to make it in the movie business. Margaret (Natalie West) is Nate's 52-year-old neighbor -- an aging eccentric and compulsive coffee-cup collector. Though they may seem an unlikely match, Nate and Margaret have so much in common that they quickly become inseparable. When Nate's friend Darla sets him up with handsome James, Margaret focuses her free time on becoming a stand-up comic. Now the more time Nate and Margaret spend apart, the more they start to realize just how important they were to one another.
