Drug-addicted youths have feelings like anyone else, and this Danish film explores them. The story opens with a young drug pusher being released from prison and trying to get on with his life. He does not succeed in keeping the job arranged for him and survives by doing small robberies. He has a lot of time in which to mope, feeling that he is a victim of his unhappy upbringing. He would take more active steps to improve his lot, but he is looking for an old love of his, a girl who has disappeared. He finds her in a hospital, being treated, with very little success, for drug addiction. They leave together, and he yields to her yearning for a drug fix. Held in his embrace, she shoots up, and dies.
