Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Proving a nuisance to her preoccupied parents, Nancy Worthing (Myrtle Lind) is shipped off to boarding school. Expecting a warm welcome when she comes home on vacation, Nancy is disappointed to discover that her mom and dad are still wrapped up in themselves. As an act of defiance, our heroine hocks one of her mother's mink coats, purchases an expensive wardrobe, hires a chauffeur (John Gilbert) and goes out for a wild night on the town. During her visit to a seedy nightclub, Nancy is witness to a shooting. Her chauffeur is charged with the crime, but Nancy, with the help of her suddenly supportive parents, prove the boy's innocence. It turns out that the chauffeur is likewise the offspring of wealthy and neglectful parents, who like Nancy decided to "get even" with his elders. Suitably chastened, the respective parents of the hero and heroine give their blessings to the couple's inevitable marriage. Still minus his trademarked mustache, John Gilbert had not quite graduated to superstar status, but even in this early appearance he exuded plenty of charisma.
