This documentary offers a biography of a singer who had a phenomenal rise to stardom during the late '70s but was unable to cope when old traumas from the past came back to torment her. Narrated by Jones herself, the story chronicles her vagabond childhood, her career, the drug and drinking problems that nearly destroyed her, and the beneficial effects that motherhood has had upon her.
