Chapter two of Mystery Trooper reveals that Jack Logan (Robert Frazer) survived the fall into the well no worse for wear. Returning to the ranch, he learns that Helen (Blanche Mehaffey) and her brother Billy (Buzz Barton) are orphans cared for by Chief Red Eagle (William Bertram) and, in times of need, the Mystery Trooper. That night, while Jack and Red Eagle are busy fending off Mack (Charles King) and his henchmen, a grizzly bear wanders into Helen's bedroom. Original chapter title: "Paths of Peril."
