Stefan Schaefer's romantic comedy My Last Day Without You concerns a German who travels to New York City in order to lay off a number of employees of the company he works for. Unexpectedly, he begins to fall in love with one of the women he fired. All the while, he wrestles with adjusting to America during his first visit to the country.
