Synopsis by Jennifer Lackman
In this political comedy, an independent member of Canada's Parliament named Steve Guibord (Patrick Huard) must cast a tiebreaking vote to determine if the country goes to war. Guibord's office is located in a small town, so he decides to travel throughout the countryside and hold town-hall meetings to gather public opinion on this issue. He's accompanied on his journey by his wife (Suzanne Clement) and daughter (Clémence Dufresne-Deslières), as well as a new intern, a Haitian political-science student named Sovereign Pascal (Irdens Exantus). Directed by Philippe Falardeau (Monsieur Lazhar).
