synopsis
This nostalgic tale is based on Willie Morris's memoir of his World War II childhood in the Deep South. The story tells of Willie's adventures with his dog Skip, the bond between people and their dogs, and the pains of loss and growing up. Frankie Muniz plays young Willie, with Kevin Bacon and Diane Lane as his parents. Harry Connick Jr. narrates, and the supporting cast includes Luke Wilson and Clint Howard.
