The popular west coast Chicano rapper Mr. Shadow issued Thug Connection, his 21st studio album, on the Sidewayz label in January 2006; it features such singles as "Same Old S**t," "Provoke," "Still Thuggin'," "That's My Song," "I'm Shadow," and "Hood Soldier." As something of an unofficial accompaniment to that album, the home video release Mr. Shadow: Thug Connection compiles rare footage of backstage events, recording sessions and tour gigs with Shadow, as well as glimpses of hot women and low rider cars. Alongside Shadow, a large number of Latino music stars turn up to perform and be interviewed, including Mayhem Clique, Lil Al, Lil Rob and Lil One.
