Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This fast-paced but otherwise routine comedy starring Maclyn Arbuckle was adapted from the novel by Archibald Clavering Gunter. Arbuckle plays Sam Potter, a self-made man who worked his way up to millionaire status as a Texas oilman. After living in Texas for 30 years, he is now a widower and his boyhood pals invite him and his daughter Ida (Louiszita Valentine) to England. From there, Potter and Ida travel to Egypt. Little does Potter know that for the past three decades he has been considered a fugitive from justice, falsely accused of a crime he did not commit. He is traced to Egypt, where he has gotten himself involved in a revolution. Potter travels from one end of the globe to another before he is able to clear his name. In addition, he finds romance with Lady Annerly (Corinne Uzzel). If anyone is wondering if the rotund Arbuckle was any relation to another extra-large silent comedian, Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle, the answer is yes -- they were cousins.
