Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
A young schoolgirl from Bouganville disappears into the world of Charles Dickens' Great Expectations as her Englishman teacher reads the literary classic to her classroom, and a civil war rages just outside. Imagining herself to be a close friend of Pip, she must summon all of her courage to survive when the invading soldiers mistake the fictional character for a real person.
