Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

Mix a bit of the old with a dash of the new with this release that offers a compelling look at Motown artists then and now. Taken from the acclaimed PBS special My Music, this program directed by T.J. Lubinsky features the artists of yesteryear in recent performances, as well as ten vintage video clips that have been newly remixed in stereo. Duke Fakir of The Four Tops and Mary Wilson of The Supremes host a nostalgic look at the Motown sound featuring special introductions by Bobby Rogers and Claudette Robinson of The Miracles. Featured artists include Martha Reeves, The Four Tops, The Miracles, The Velvelettes, Brenda Holloway, The Contours, Dennis Edwards and the Temptation Review, and Gladys Horton of The Marvelettes.
