Synopsis by Nathan Southern
Ricky Martin, the multitalented heartthrob of latin pop, launched his career at the tender age of six - with appearances in Spanish-language television commercials - and secured a spot by 1984 as lead vocalist of the Puerto Rican teen band Menudo. He went solo after high school graduation, and his self-titled debut EP hit stores in 1991; its follow up, Me Amaras, appeared in 1993. These efforts, along with a recurring role on the American soap opera General Hospital, turned Martin into an international megastar, though Martin's self-titled English language EP, in May 1999, permanently cemented his universal appeal. Martin appears live before a packed crowd in the eighty-minute home video release, Most Famous Hits: Ricky Martin - Live in Spain, performing seven chart-toppers: "No Puedo Más," "Bombón de Azúcar," "Nada Es Imposible," "A Medio Vivir," "Susana," "Maria," and "Hasta Luego Compadre," plus extended clips from three performances of "Te Extranjo."
