When a cop cuffs a car thief and leaves him at the record store while he pursues an accomplice, the crook plays to Mork's compassionate side with a yarn about wanting to see his dying mother. Since the thief promises to come back the next day, Mork uses his powers to remove the cuffs and the man escapes. When the police come back, Mork learns his lesson the hard way.
