Synopsis by Hal Erickson
This Discovery Channel series examined the limits of the human mind and body in matters of survival and confinement. Using the first-person testimony of people who had been shot, burned, or buried alive, the series detailed the manner in which human beings are able -- or unable -- to "adapt." On a lighter note, the program chronicled the havoc wrought upon the human form by corsets, tight shoes, and other voluntary restraints. More Than Human debuted October 3, 2003.
