In this melodrama, a young secretary becomes the Kept Woman of her lascivious employer. When she encounters her high school sweetheart, she ends up leaving and returning to her hometown and her poor, struggling family. They need her income desperately, and after some turmoil, she is forced to return to her posh apartment. As she is going, the light suddenly dawns on her lover when he realizes what she has become.
