Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

Filmmaker Milena Andonova takes a compassionate look at the tragic lives of three women from three separate generations in this downbeat drama that screened at the 2006 London Film Festival. Dona (Bonka Ilieva-Boni) is a single mother of three who lives in the suburbs of Sofia in the early 1960s. Desperate to hold on to the few possessions she has after being abandoned by her boyfriend and threatened by local bailiffs, Dona agrees to a match with an elderly spouse only to discover that her new husband is a reprehensible pedophile. Flash forward to 1981 and law student Lucretia (Diana Dobreva) is attempting to get impregnated by another student so she won't have to move back to the countryside following graduation. Upon achieving her goal, however, Lucretia resorts to desperate measures as a means of keeping her boyfriend after she begins to doubt his love and mistakenly view her pregnancy as an obstacle. In the third and final story, the wife (Angelina Slavova of a wealthy real estate tycoon watches their once-happy life together slowly slip into discontent when it's revealed that her powerful husband is infertile.
