Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
This political satire is set in a fictionalized South American town. Evaristo, the son of a political activist, had loved the fair Maria since childhood. While he was still a boy, he saw his father murdered by the fascist Colonel Banderas. After spending many years training to be a revolutionary, Evarista returns to Amerigua for revenge and to re-kindle his love with Maria. Unfortunately, he returns in the midst of the town beauty pageant. The contestants include Maria, Evarista's sister, and Carmen Banderas, the colonel's arrogant daughter. Political and romantic hi-jinks ensue.
