synopsis
The semidocumentary Miles to Go could be labelled a feminist Deliverance. This is the true story of a group of women who endeavor to "find themselves" in the wilds of the Smokey Mountains. Amidst many euphoric moments of self-discovery, an ominous pall is cast upon the group. With no leader to guide them, the women become hopelessly lost. But tragedy is transformed into triumph as the women survive by sharing leadership responsibilities. The full title of this film is Miles to Go: A Woman's Wilderness Journey.
