synopsis
Filmmaker Daniel Taye Workou's 20-minute short Menged details the journey of a father and son, on their way to a rural market in Ethiopia. During the trip, they opt to follow everyone's advice and regain their senses in the process. Workou uses the events to make allegorical observations about Ethiopia, and its shift from the tradition of the past to the modernity of the present.
