Synopsis by Sandra Brennan

A filmmaker endeavors to interview a number of luminaries and ask them about the nature of their fame in this documentary. After being continually refused by stars and popular officials ranging from Katharine Hepburn to the late Richard Nixon, director Jim Riffel tries another tack and begins interviewing those who have met them, have worked for them, or are obsessed by them. Those interviewed include a beautician who collects celebrity hair samples and a surfer who has stars sign his board. Also chronicled are the responses from those whose fixations take a darker turn.
