synopsis
In this pilot episode of the long-running series, a marshal from a small New Mexico town escorts a subpoenaed witness to New York City. When his witness is kidnapped, the marshall tries to track him down in the unfamiliar city. During his search, he finds himself in the middle of a murder case.
