In this music release, film composer Maurice Jarre (The Tin Drum, Resurrection) conducts the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in symphonic performances of music from several films by director David Lean (which Jarre scored). The concert includes selections from A Passage to India (1984), Ryan's Daughter (1970), Doctor Zhivago (1965) and Lawrence of Arabia (1962).
