Synopsis by Karen Solomon
Slip into the skillful hands of masseuse Cleo and her client Maria as they talk about the benefit of massage, numerous techniques for massaging oneself and others, and accoutrements to make the entire experience professional and pleasant. Swedish message, shiatsu, and reflexology are explored as variable techniques to relieve tension in the neck, shoulders, back, hips, chest, abdomen, legs, arms, feet, face, and head. Special attention is paid to locating trigger points on the body and manipulating them for maximum effect. While massaging others is a key lesson here, self-massage is also discussed in detail. In addition, Cleo guides a discussion of which massage oils are used to what effect, and details the "glowing salt rub" -- her technique for smoothing skin and cellulite.
