Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Lewis Stone (yes, the future Judge Hardy) both wrote and starred in this Northwest lumber drama. Tom Denton (Stone) comes from the East to oversee a lumber camp. The men are prohibited from drinking, so when Denton finds Slim Dorgan (Bill Dyer) handing out liquor, he is summarily fired. Dorgan, seeking revenge, enlists the help of Bull Larkin (Jack Curtiss), who is more than happy to lend his aid -- Larkin distributes illegal alcohol and Denton, he knows, is bound to cause trouble. Larkin's abused wife Mary (Jane Novak) goes to Denton with the plans, but there isn't much he can do. Dorgan is already preparing to dynamite the sawmill. It detonates too soon and he is killed in the explosion. His face is unrecognizable and he's mistaken for Larkin. Larkin, meanwhile, heads for the hills and disappears. Denton and Mary wed, but their happiness ends abruptly a year later when Larkin shows up with a bullet wound. Denton doesn't recognize Larkin and takes care of him, while Mary is cowed into silence about his identity. Larkin kidnaps her and forces her to accompany him to the Mexican border, where he puts her to work in a dance hall. Denton tracks them down, however, and the two men battle it out. Denton kills Larkin and reunites with Mary.
