Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This film was an attempt to draw in fight fans -- lightweight champion Willie Ritchie was starred, as was his vaudeville partner, Betty Marshall. The plot, based on a Saturday Evening Post story by Helen Van Campen, really wasn't much -- the usual melodrama about a mortgage hanging heavily over the girl's home and the hero's attempt to save the day. Since the hero, in this case, is a prize fighter, Ritchie spends a good amount of time training and even dreams about the fight while he's sleeping (as he tosses about in bed, a close-up of boxing gloves is shown, not once but several times). Finally, after several reels of mediocre directing, bad editing and poorer acting, Ritche gets in the ring and shows off his true talents. Needless to say, he emerges victorious as a fighter, if not an actor.
