Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Man Trouble is comprised of four episodes from the 1975 TV series Fay. Lee Grant plays Fay, a middle-aged divorcee determined to make it on her own--and never mind the remonstrations of ex-husband Joe Silver and her prudish daughter Margaret Willock. Fay astounds her family by announcing she's having an affair; she tries to handle the news of her husband's remarriage; she fends off the unwanted advances of her best friend's fiance; and she tries to dissuade her lovestruck young boss (Bill Gerber). This feature-length version of Fay removed the series' laugh track and added a few bits and lines that had originally fallen victim to the NBC censors. The series itself lasted all of six episodes.
