Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
Released by Wid Gunning, Inc. as part of the "Entertainment Series," this long-lost melodrama starred the forgotten Jean Scott as Mary Anne Strong, a young girl in love with the nephew (Willard Cooley) of her father's (Charles Craig) worst enemy (Bernard Siegel). With an unrepentant Mary Anne locked up in her room, young David Calloway (Cooley) leaves on an extended sea voyage. Furious, the uncle intercepts his letters to the girl and tells her that he had died. She becomes unbalanced by grief, but the reappearance of David restores her to sanity and they finally are allowed to marry.
