The arrival of a beautiful and seductive woman into a small New Zealand town leads to tragedy when it upsets the delicate balance of the remote community in director Dane Giraud's cautionary erotic drama. Lydia is a thirtysomething woman who lives alone in a large homestead and harbors a deep-rooted desire for next-door neighbor Christian. Upon discovering the gorgeous but destitute Luella Miller hiding in her home, Lydia kindly allows the enigmatic stranger to share her living space for the time being. As the men of the small town slowly succumb to Luella's strangely seductive spell, Christian too finds himself mysteriously drawn to Lydia's new houseguest. Her jealousy welling inside as her feelings for Christian grow stronger with each passing day, Lydia determines to confront Luella without giving consideration to the potentially tragic results of her actions.
