Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
This documentary covers the actions and philosophy of Samuel Holden Lovejoy whose courageous act of civil disobedience is examined. Based on his objections to nuclear power, Lovejoy cut down a 500 foot tower owned by a nuclear power plant, turned himself in to the authorities, and endured a five-year prison stint. Along with telling Lovejoy's story, crucial issues concerning nuclear power, such as waste disposal, are discussed.
