Przemyslaw Wajcieszek directs the Polish coming-of-age drama Louder Than Bombs, named after the 1987 essential Smiths album. 21-year-old Marcin (Rafal Mackowiak) loves the Smiths and he earns his living working as a mechanic in his father's garage. When his father dies, he is the only one to take care of the funeral and deal with relatives. Also, Marcin's girlfriend, Kaska (Sylwia Juszczak), has made plans to leave Poland to go to school in the U.S. Left alone, Marcin is forced to make changes and decide where his life is going.
