Synopsis by Sandra Brennan

This off-beat documentary offers an unsettling look at how the state of Mississippi views criminals. The primary focus is an investigation into the alleged suicide of Cedric Walker, a young African American inmate at the Parchman State Penitentiary who was found hanged in his cell six months before his parole date, making Walker part of a growing number of prison suicides. Along the way, the filmmakers visit the prison and debate with wardens, and local police.
